She Built a Brand Around ONE Word — SABR
Pooja Raval, founder of SABR in Dubai, shares how patience, resilience and her own career journey shaped a purpose-led clothing brand.
About This Episode
How do you turn patience into a fashion brand? Pooja Raval, founder of SABR in Dubai, built a purpose-led clothing brand around one powerful word: SABR — patience, resilience and the strength to keep moving before the results arrive.
Her journey to becoming a fashion entrepreneur was anything but linear.
Engineering in India. An MBA in Marketing. Experience in retail and FMCG. A move to the UK to study strategic marketing and consumer behaviour. Career uncertainty, the pressure of finding sponsorship, another move to Dubai — and eventually the decision to build something of her own.
That journey became the foundation of SABR.
Pooja didn't want to create another clothing label with a motivational word printed on a T-shirt. She wanted the clothing to become a reminder — especially for entrepreneurs, creators and people going through uncertain stages of life — that meaningful things take time.
The conversation goes deeper into the psychology behind the brand: why modern life has made us impatient, why comparison damages self-confidence, how self-acceptance changes the way we make decisions, and why patience without action isn't really SABR.
